Hunter Gardner is a writer and comedic performer in Charleston, SC. Also, he's nice.


Hunter Gardner is a writer and performer. He published his first short story at the age of sixteen, earning him a 100% free dictionary. He's loved words ever since. Hunter is a product of the Carolinas--kind of like Pepsi--growing up in North Carolina and now residing in Charleston, South Carolina.

He regularly performs improv and sketch comedy, and has been a company member at Theatre 99 since November 2014.

His one-man show Drinking With Jesus premiered in Charleston in November 2016.

Before Jesus, Hunter co-wrote and co-starred in a two-man show titled the bob and rob spectacular. (March 2014) and also co-starred in the web series Shepic Fail alongside Bravo reality star, Shep Rose of Southern Charm

As a journalistic writer, Hunter has contributed to The Art MagCharleston MagazineHouse Calls, and Charleston Grit

His young adult novel, SCHOOL. was published by Bitingduck Press in 2014.

Gardner's festival credits include: The North Charleston Arts Festival (2017), The Charleston Comedy Festival (2017), The Charleston Arts Festival (2016), New South Comedy Festival (2015), and The North Carolina Comedy & Arts Festival (2014).
